Create Territory Maps — Automated from OpenStreetMap

Print-ready maps for your territories, generated in minutes from current OpenStreetMap data.

With congrega you can create territory maps in just a few minutes — without GIS skills, without manual labelling, and without licensing fees for map data. Just provide the territory outline, and the rest happens automatically: OpenStreetMap data is clipped, street names and house numbers are placed, the layout is optimised for printing.

How the creation works

Upload the outline of a territory — as KML, GeoJSON, or any other supported format. congrega fetches current map data from OpenStreetMap, cleanly clips it at the territory boundary, and produces a high-resolution PDF at the correct scale. Street names, house numbers, and notable points are placed automatically.

What goes on each map

Every territory map shows the street network, street names, house numbers down to the building level, building outlines, key points of interest (schools, churches, public buildings), and district boundaries if defined. The layout is designed for practical use at the door — easy to read while standing, robust against rain.

Why OpenStreetMap

OpenStreetMap data is freely usable, up to date, and very complete for most residential areas across Europe — especially for house numbers. When the map data changes, you can regenerate territory maps in congrega at any time. You are not tied to a single map data vendor.

A transparent offer instead of a fixed package

Scope and source data differ by congregation. After a brief review, you receive a clear offer. Generated maps can be reprinted as often as needed and regenerated when OSM changes.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the creation take?
From uploading the outline to a finished PDF usually takes a few minutes. Very large territories can take a bit longer, but it all runs automatically in the background.
Do I need GIS skills?
No. A territory outline is enough — you can draw one in Google Earth (free) or import it from an existing file. congrega takes care of everything else.
How accurate are the house numbers?
House numbers come from OpenStreetMap and are very complete in most residential areas. Before printing, a preview shows you exactly what the result will look like.
Can I refresh maps later?
Yes. You can regenerate any territory map with one click from the latest OSM data — for example, when a new development goes up.
